 As you may have noticed, the newsletter has had a few month's break.

Welcome back!

Firstly, a warm welcome back to Ana, Cadu, Carol, Felipe, Mariana, and Regina, who have started having classes again after several months off.

Price

Thankfully, the Brazilian economy has become more stable and inflation seems to be under control. Therefore, there will be no change in the price of your English classes.

If there is any change in price in the future, I will always give you at least a month's warning in advance through the newsletter.

English in England

As I mentioned in the tenth edition of the newsletter, I have become the agent in Brazil for an English language school in Britain. I'm including with this edition information (in Portuguese) about the school. If you would like information about the cost of courses, ask Viv.

Discount!

As one of Viv's students you are entitled to a discount of 20% on the total cost of tuition fees at Cicero. For people who are not studying with Viv, the discount is 10% on the cost of the course. This discount does not include accommodation.

Happy Birthday!

Once again it's time for Viv to try to work out how old he is! This year my birthday falls on a Saturday (the fifth of June). As on previous years, I will be celebrating at the Queen's Legs pub in Lagoa, near the access ramp to the Rebouças tunnel. Here's a map:

I would be happy to see as many of my students as can come - everyone's invited. I shall be there from half past seven until I fall over!

What's new?

I have managed to record a very interesting film on the life (and death) of Chico Mendes. The film stars Raul Julia and Sonia Braga and has been recorded with SAP. Therefore, it is only really suitable for students at Intermediate level and above.
